Is God hungry of Worship?

Is God really Hungry of our worship? I don't think so. There are lots of creatures doing that already.
I have seen people sing and lead worship service in church and I can’t help but wonder if they are really praising God or insulting Him.
I wonder if those words they say really come from their heart. Do they really mean those sweet words they say or they just say them for the fun of it and also to make the song more interesting and alluring?
Galatians 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap.
God cannot not be mocked! Every Christian worships God, we sing praise to God in public or private. Some sing only when they are in the bathroom, cooking in the kitchen, washing clothes or cleaning the environment. As beautiful as all these are there is a place of deliberate worship to God, not the general one that we all do congregationally in church lifting up hands and shouting after the lead singer.
There is a place of deliberate worship, where you set out time to worship your maker, you alone or with your family not because you want to enjoy yourself or while away time nor because you are bored or something. Some would say I don’t have good voice like sister Pricillia or brother Aquilla, so until they lead worship you don’t see yourself good enough to worship God. This is a tragic condition of so many Christians nowadays.
Worshipping God is not a competition, singing quest or any form of stand up program that you need to do voice training before you can participate. When you are worshipping God in your corner, don’t be scared to miss key infact throw the key away, use the husky voice like that, sing off key, join different verse of the song together. God will not reject your sacrifice of worship because of your bad voice but definitely He will reject it because of your bad heart.
Lets take a look at this bible passage:
John 4:23-24 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
From the scripture we could see that good voice is not needed to worship God. We could see that the criteria that God seek is not good voice, expert in the rudiment of music, do not get me wrong if you have it, it is definitely a plus to you don’t let pride use it against you and if you don’t have a good voice don’t even bother to disturb yourself , go to your secret corner and use your voice anyhow it sounds like that. Sing unto the most high God from the depth of your spirit let His worship flow from the deep within you and you will be amazed the marvelous things that will happen in your life. It is time we get deliberate. So many do not always feel like worshipping God until they are listening to popular Christian singers, Nathaniel Bassey, Don Moen, Tope Alabi etc. This is not bad in itself but how do you think God will feel when you wake up one night and say “father, I know I don’t have a sonorous voice but I have a love song for you” and you begin to sing about his goodness, his majesty and you worship him wholeheartedly, who cares about the voice anyway, it is men that discriminate.
Those with sonorous voice see others as not qualified enough to worship God. You may not be able to lead Congregational worship but you can fellowship with your father in truth and in spirit.
Its a pity how pride has hijack so many child of God from the presence of God. They want to show off their musical skills and prowess rather than worship the father.
Are you saying those words from the depth of your heart? God want praises that are heartfelt not showmanship. He gave you emotion and passion not just to show others but also to worship Him. However, this worship must be genuine and not faked. Little wonder, Jesus said “Love your God with all your heart and with all your soul”. A worship that is not from the heart is a heartless worship which is an insult to God.
(1Samuel 16:7) God doesn’t pay attention to heartless praise! He doesn’t judge as people do.
The shouting, the screaming, the noise made by the congregation does not move Him because He looks at the heart and not the outward appearance, behaviour or circumstances during the worship. When we worship God, He looks past our physical environment or expressions to see the attitude of our heart. He doesn’t want pretence or phoniness in worship. Worship to God must be done in truth and in spirit. Communicate with the spirit of God and worship Him as He is truly revealed in the Bible.
God is not hungry of your worship, so, take your time and give him the best.
This is the true worship of God.
Remain blessed!
